Sumo Logic prices usage through credits, so the effective cost depends on converting credits back to ingest and query volume, and renewal pricing adds another variable. Kloudfuse runs inside your cloud and prices on one axis: telemetry ingested.
The biggest differences come down to how the platform is deployed, how usage is priced, and what happens as data volume and complexity grow.
A gigabyte of continuous log ingest costs 25 credits. A credit is $0.15 on Essentials and $0.25 on Enterprise Suite. That works out at $3.75 to $6.25 per gigabyte ingested, before storage and before search.
Sumo Logic’s published rate card states that on renewal "the net annual Subscription Service Fees shall increase by 10%" unless separately negotiated.
Flex removes the ingest charge and bills scanned gigabytes instead — 10 credits per scanned GB upfront, 20 once prepaid capacity runs out. On the Flex credit schedule that is $15 and then $30 per scanned gigabyte.

It depends entirely on your ratio of ingest to investigation. Flex removes the ingest charge, which suits teams that store a lot and query rarely. If your team investigates often, or across wide time ranges, the scanned-gigabyte meter dominates — and it doubles once prepaid search capacity is exhausted. Model both against a real month of query behaviour before choosing.
Yes. There are no cap penalties and you do not provision for peaks. The cost pressure sits in the unit rates and the renewal escalator rather than in spike behaviour.
Collection is the easy half — Kloudfuse is OpenTelemetry-native and accepts your existing collectors, so you dual-ship from day one. Saved searches and partition-shaped content do need rebuilding, since the query language does not transfer.
